The Law of attraction

Hi! this is in continuation with my earlier blog about creating ur own life!-an epilogue of sorts.......
Well ,after days of fascinated reading &rereading of the Secret which is close to my heart as it reiterates and reminds me of what I learnt at landmark-
I managed to somehow get my hands on the DVD copy of THE SECRET(even if it was a copied version )......
Actually, I now truly believe that with all the beautiful things happening in my life,I attracted this beautiful book to me&drew it into my life!So have all those who have been lucky enough to receive a copy from me or hear about it,it's actually their positive thoughts in life that have drawn it magnetically towards them.I was so happy&touched when a buddy of mine whom I had gifted the secret ,shared that he used it in his office &great things have started to happen!!!He considered it truly priceless&of course so do I:)!

I am now a die hard fan of the theory that we truly attract whatever happens to us!!It seems when we complain about things or our job or relationships,well-that's exactly what we'll be attracting more of!!And guess what happens when we're feeling good abt something......we'll be sure to get more of the same!:)
Such is the law of attraction!:) The universe doesn't differentiate betn good&bad,it just fulfills ur wishes!!

Coming back to the CD,My kids and I thoroughly enjoyed watching it despite the umpteen no of times it kept getting stuck! It has even more impact in the audiovisual form(though i just love the book too),being a realtime story telling of all those who have experienced miracles in their life......One story which gave me goosepimples was a story about the famous Morris Goodman who was paralysed neck down with a crushed spine but resolved to walk out on Christmas Day.....and he did!
.......(This is so incredible that i must share this!I just randomly opened the book to see if I got his name right..and guess what page it opened on!!My god,It's so uncanny!)...are u surprised i'm such a believer:) ............this just feels really good!....:)

Before I go off on another tangent,I must share about my kid's reactions,it was amazing how open they were to it!!My daughter shared how she had made a visionboard like i had suggested ,on which she had put up the marks she really wanted! And now she not only believed she would get it,I knew she would too!!
I was still grumbling a little about the cd getting stuck again &again -when my little 7 yr old son turned around and said"Amma,it is so simple &u still have not understood what they are saying.......If u keep saying it won't come,it won't start......then it definitely won't!!!..Say"the cd will work,instead.." and it will work"......guess what,it did for some time at least!!.........
I was so dumbstruck-it hit me like a thunderbolt that a 7 yr old could get what it took adults ages to fathom(I'm still learning&have to keep reminding myself to practise it!!!!)
Whenever most of us -so called knowledgeable adults (including me,of course)encounter someting radical&new,we think"this won't work and voila...it definitely won't!!!As long as we focus on negative things ,that's exactly what we'll keep attracting&experiencing! In fact it seems that's because every "I can't "&"i won't" is a creation too!
whereas if u have noticed -a child who has no preconceived notions probably welcomes everything with open arms, coz they focus on "I can"&"I will"-once again a creation!! In fact my kids keep practising it on me,nowadays to get whatever they want!;)
For a change, taking a cue from God's own form &creation-children;)- let's think"this definitely &truly works........."and watch the magic unfold:)..we have everything to gain from " my funda of the universe"as one of my cousins calls it(and which she's using too!)

Now I know why we've learnt&been told time&again that
........................."WHATEVER WE WANT FROM OUR LIVES IS AVAILABLE TO US !!!!
All we really need to do is ask, believe&we shall get it!!!

P.S............Why don't u check it out for yourself!Just focus on someone u really wanted to see or hear from........and voila within a day or maximum two,u definitely will....110% ......But only if u really believe!:)That's the key-Give it a try &let me know!!

The SO CALLED Regional Divide!!!

Being a Bombay girl at heart........ born & brought up in Bombay(I somehow don't like calling it mumbai...though some people may object to that too!!!).........it really pains me to see the Great language &regional hangama going on right now!!..............The beauty of bombay is in the way in which it holds its cosmopolitan community together....where people of all regions, caste&creed have always lived in harmony!!The cosmopolitan spirit is something that i'm proud to have imbibed from b'bay&its teaming millions..........

In fact the Common man in b'bay is extremely proud of this!!Come to think of it,I had friends from all communities-Marathi,gujurati,Muslim,Shetty,Sindhis,Punjabis,Marwadis,Keralites etc etc ......&we never once thought about each other that way!!We were just Bombay kuddis!!!The only thing that mattered to us is that we always had an amazing array of food to eat-from bhakarvadis to chats to idli-dosas,rajma chawal,puri-chole&of course wada pav!!

I spoke to some of my Maharashtrian friends&they're more offended &outraged by the comments rather than the Non-Maharashtrians!!!That's the spirit of Bombay..which no dirty politics can break!!

It's all very easy for some ill aboding politicians to say-"throw out the outsiders....but what would b'bay be without the Shetty udupi hotels, the northie bhaiyyas with their yummy bhel&panipuri, the sardarji taxi drivers, the hundreds of panbeedi&chai shops which are solely run by so called outsiders &are the pulse of Bombay city!!!

So Mr Publicity crazy Politicians -please divert ur attention to the hundreds of farmers dying in Maharashtra .rather than muddying the beautiful &harmonious environment of Bombay Meri Jaan!!!

Victory over "MR NO"!!!

Hey,I'm so happy today!!It suddenly hit me that I've actually got over my fear of facing a "No".......:)I used to be one of those people who will not even bother to ask for something ,in anticipation of being turned down"What will that person think about me","how will I face them again","it's just not worth the risk ","why bother, they'll say no anyways","why should i talk to someone new-they won't respond".....were the first thoughts that used to enter my mind............;)
And I'm sure that happens with all of us too......We are so sure we're going to get turned down that we don't even bother asking !.....And god forbid if someone responds negatively,we take it immediately to heart and feel rejected-"they don't care about me""why did i even bother","i'm a failure","i'll never ask again"...........doesn't that sound familiar....it did to me just a few months ago;)..I used to get really upset&probably never risk it again!!

And now that it has dawned on me that a "NO" is always to a request and not to the all important "ME".......sigh...I can't tell you what a relief that is!!!So now it doesn't matter how many "nos " i hear ,it's only for the request right...so how does it affect me!!!

Have you noticed how little kids keep asking for something they want&just don't care how many times we turn them down.......it just doesn't matter to them!!And finally, they always manage to get their way;)....coz they know that we're only saying no to the icecreams&the chocolates, but not actually to them!!!
.........but for us so called knowledgeable adults;),just one "no"is enough to get us down forever!!!

I have been inviting some close friends&relatives of mine for a life altering programme which is very dear to my heart!Initially when i was my old self ,i used to even hesitate to talk about it.....what will they think about me"MODE;)I used to even feel a little odd to keep calling them.......
..But now when they are not able to fulfill my request due to genuine reasons,it just doesn't bother me at all!!!I just somehow understand that they still care as much about me even if they don't turn up!!
Today a buddy of mine complimented me on being understanding about him not turning up for the umpteenth time(although he had really wanted to come) &for patiently following up every time,That's when it dawned on me that i hadn't even realised that i had called so many times&more importantly that i was actually not upset at all!!I owe him one for acknowledging me and giving me that breakthrough:)!

That's when it hit me that this was the new me,free from all imaginary upsets &I had actually conquered my biggest enemy"MR NO".! And how could I forget that I had been saying no for the same programme for 7 years:)........what if my friends had given up on me??I would never have achieved what I have today!!!

I can now face all the imaginary and real "NO"s at work,in relationships&life itself, which used to tie me down-with a "so what"!!.......Hurrah!I'm so happy and honestly very relieved too...:)
So it's now...."HALLA BOL" on MR NO!!.......

P.S..........all the guys wooing their girlfriends can take a hint from me...get going, guys!!!
